Overcome doubt, Let your art flow.
When I decided to come to my computer, my inspiration was flowing, I wrote a passage with my tea that felt fun for me to share. Then I got to this page and questioned wether it fit in with my blog content or not.
And after 5 minutes of contemplation, questioning what I “should” do, I chuckle at the fact that the very thing that would set me free into my JOY would be to share what my heart wants to share, instead of questioning wether it “fits in” or not.
How many times do we do this with our art? What if it gives us more life to simply share it instead of question it? What if it doesn’t need to fit in? What if it actually wants to STAND OUT?
So, instead of question it any longer and cause me stagnation & analyzation of something that isn’t meant to analyze, I am pouring my heart out here instead. A message in overcoming doubt, and letting our art flow instead.
May 16th 2024, Day 1 of my cycle. Written with a Taiwanese Oolong Tea.
I hear the rain coming down.
I smell the incense lingering in circles and wisps of jasmine essence.
I taste the floral notes on the tongue, creating an upward wind in my mouth, the qi is vibrant. The candle light flickering in the pottery that warms my soul a little more. The cup placed upon the leaf that’s been pattered by the rain, brings me a natural delight. The wood handle of my tea pot transports me to the forest, where I imagine myself roomenating the forest floor as I find the perfect tea scoop to use in my ceremonies. I craft arts from the beauty of nature. My soul delights in the simplicity of feeling so much satisfaction of remembering that my true purpose is JOY. It is my daily work to return to my delight, my bliss, & joyous nature. So I wake and ask, What would bring me the most joy in this day? My feet ponder to come to my utensils. Heart to paper, pottery laid before me. Carrying the essence of who I truly am. Simple, dynamic in nature, just as the notes of the oolong. Bringing a surprise to the table of magic & mystery. I revel in life longing for itself. So I meet my core each day to feel my belonging here on earth & invite others into that knowing of our human nature. Bringing feeling to paper, so many may return to the simple essence of what stems from within. Found in a cup of steamy aroma, invigorating the Qi that enlivens the human each day to live out ones destiny.
